From the ‘Aina

Plucked from the island’s soil and prepared by skilled hands, Joey’s Kitchen prioritizes Hawaii’s most unique and locally loved ingredients like: eggplant, okra, & long beans. Whether you’re dining in or taking your meal to-go, you’ll finish feeling nourished in both heart and body.

Chef Joey took a leap of faith in 2015 to make his dream of becoming a restaurant owner a reality. He has since expanded his Joey’s Kitchen to two locations in Lahaina. He recently has launched a new concept, Balai Pata in Central Maui, blending Filipino and Spanish culinary influences.

Macadangdang Restaurant which first opened back in 2021 is temporarily closed. Chef Joey hopes to reopen and share the Hawaiian-Filipino cuisine in the future.

Chef Joey Macadangdang spent 20 year studying the culinary art under Chef Roy Yamaguchi, who is attributed to first putting Hawaiian Fusion cuisine on the map.

For the ‘Ohana
